PORTABLE APPLIANCE TESTING
The process of checking electrical appliances for safety through a series of visual inspections and electronic tests.
London based our areas of expertise are PAT Testing from £0.70p per test and Fixed Wire Testing (EICR) and inspection from £10 per Circuit.
Our dedicated and fully qualified network team of London/Nationwide based electrical engineers offer nationwide PAT testing and Fixed Wire Testing (EICR) for industrial, local authorities, residential homes, letting agents, schools colleges, facilities management companies, electrical organisations and retail outlets.
The primary reason for PAT testing is to prevent electrical accidents, fires, and injuries by ensuring that appliances are in a safe and working condition. PAT testing aims to prevent electrical incidents such as burns, and electric shocks. There is no legal requirement to carry out PAT tests specifically, but UK legislation states that all businesses must keep all electrical equipment in a safe condition and to maintain records to show evidence of this. That is what PAT Testing does for you and provides this information in the event of an incident. As the H&S Executive assume you are guilty until you can prove otherwise. Your insurance will also be invalid in the event of an incident if you can’t provide sufficient records to show you are maintaining your electrical appliances
